A small door lock company

From customer support to rethinking how a struggling company ran, how it sold online, and how it presented itself.

Every detail counts.

Where it started

Our founder joined a small door lock company in customer support. The company was struggling financially.

Customer support is a good seat for seeing what is broken. Instead of staying in that lane, our founder started fixing what could be fixed, one piece at a time, well outside the job description.

What got better

  • Custom operations software
  • Online sales
  • Product descriptions
  • Product photography
  • Packaging
  • Branding
  • Pricing
  • Marketing materials

Custom software was made for the way the team actually worked, and the online store was rebuilt. Alongside that, the listings were rewritten, the product reshot, the packaging and brand redone, the prices rethought and new marketing materials made.

What happened next

The same product that had sold under another brand became an Amazon bestseller.

It went on to reach more retailers, including big-box stores, and the company grew its warehouse and its team.

We can't point to any single change and say it caused that. What it showed us is that improvements reinforce each other, and that a weak spot in one place can hold back the work everywhere else.

That experience is the foundation of 702.creative.
